What Our Social Cohesion Service Offers
- Community Events and Gatherings: We organise regular events and gatherings that celebrate African culture, traditions, and achievements. These events provide opportunities for networking, cultural exchange, and building lasting connections with fellow community members.
- Workshops and Training Sessions: Our workshops focus on essential life skills, personal development, and integration into the local society. We offer a range of topics, such as language classes, job readiness, financial literacy, and health and well-being, to empower individuals and equip them with the tools for success.
- Support Groups: We facilitate support groups that address specific needs and challenges faced by different segments of our community. These groups provide a safe and confidential space for sharing experiences, seeking advice, and offering support
- Mentorship and Coaching: Our mentorship program pairs experienced community members with newcomers, providing guidance, encouragement, and practical support as they navigate their new lives in Glasgow. This mentorship creates a valuable network of support and facilitates a smoother transition into the community.
- Cultural Exchange Initiatives: We encourage cultural exchange between the African community and the wider Glasgow community. Through collaborative events, partnerships, and educational programs, we aim to increase understanding, appreciation, and respect for African cultures.
